Understanding the Types of Fibroids

1. Submucosal Fibroids

  • Location: Develop under the lining of the uterus and may protrude into the uterine cavity.

  • Symptoms: Heavy menstrual bleeding, difficulty in conceiving.

2. Intramural Fibroids

  • Location: Grow within the muscular wall of the uterus.

3. Subserosal Fibroids

  • Location: Form on the outer wall of the uterus.

4. Pedunculated Fibroids

  • Location: Grow on stalks extending from the uterine wall.
